Privacy policy
Last updated: 20 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information 28daysoftagalog.com collects and what we do with it. The website is operated by ON-OFF GROUP UK LTD (registered in England and Wales, company number 15422106), which is the data controller. Contact: hello@28daysoftagalog.com.
What we collect
- Quiz: your first name, email address and quiz answers.
- Purchase: what you bought, the amount, and a payment reference. We never see or store your card number. Payments are handled by Stripe.
- Learning: which lessons you finished, your quiz scores, and the name you put on your certificate.
- Conversation partner: the messages you send to the AI conversation partner and its replies.
- Login: a cookie that keeps you logged in.
- Visit counting: your browser stores a random visitor number and, if you came from an advert, which advert it was. We use this only to count how many people reach each step (for example, how many people who start the quiz go on to buy). It is not linked to your name or email.
- Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel): on the home page, quiz, price page and the page you see straight after paying, we use a Meta (Facebook) cookie so we can see which of our adverts lead to sign-ups and sales, and so Meta can show our adverts to people likely to be interested. Meta receives the pages you visit on this site, that you signed up or bought (and the amount), and your browser and device details. When you sign up or buy, our server also confirms that to Meta together with a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address, which Meta can only match if you already have a Meta account with that email. Meta does not receive your quiz answers, lesson progress or coach messages. If you are in the UK, EU/EEA or Switzerland we ask before using it; if you say no, neither the cookie nor the server confirmation is used. Anywhere, you can control this in your Facebook ad settings or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Why we use it
- To give you the course you paid for and let you log in (to perform our contract with you).
- To answer your questions and handle refunds.
- To keep the service safe and working, and to understand in general how it is used (our legitimate interests).
- To measure and improve our advertising: with your consent where the law requires it, otherwise our legitimate interests.
- To send you lesson reminders while you have a pass (for example, if you miss a few days, or your pass is about to end). Every reminder has a one-tap link to stop them, and there is a switch in the Me tab.
- To send you occasional tips by email, only if you ticked the box asking for them. You can stop at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We use these companies to run the service, and they only process your information for us:
- Stripe: payments.
- Cloudflare: website hosting and database.
- Brevo: sending emails such as login links.
- Our own audio server (audio.learntagalogfast.com, voices generated with ElevenLabs): plays the lesson audio. It receives the phrase being played, not who you are.
- Meta: advertising measurement, as described above. Meta is a separate controller for what it does with that information.
- Anthropic: the AI model behind the conversation partner. Your messages are sent to it to get a reply. Please do not put passwords, ID numbers, bank details or other people's private information in coach messages.
Some of these companies process data outside the UK and the Philippines, for example in the European Union and the United States. Where they do, they use legally recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Account, learning and coach records: while your pass is active and for up to 2 years after, then deleted or made anonymous.
- Payment records: 6 years, because UK tax law requires it.
- Quiz answers from people who did not buy: up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can object to how we use it. Email hello@28daysoftagalog.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or the data protection authority where you live.
Children
This service is for adults aged 18 and over.
